On Saturday, September 19th 2015, at 10:30 am, the members of Bayou City Lodge # 228 assembled at the Buffalo Soldiers Museum in Houston, TX. W:.M:. William Johnson called on the group with prayer, and went into the occasion: we presented curator PJ Matthews with a check in the amount of $500 to assist the museum in their goals and aims in preserving this important piece of Black History. A plaque was presented to the museum listing the occasion, and was hung over the reception desk. Afterwards, W:.M:. Johnson provided a repast for all who attended, which included our DDGM and representatives from many different lodges.
