Greetings Brothers! I pray that this report finds you and family doing well.
The lock-in took place at the KIPP Polaris Campus located at 9636 Mesa Drive, Houston, TX 77078 and went from 8pm to 8am. At the KIPP Polaris Lock-In, the young men were able to play video games, basketball, board games, etc. to their hearts content. Snacks were provided throughout the night and pizza was ordered midway through the evening. When it was time for bed, everyone snuggled into their sleeping bags and watched movies until movies started watching them.
The administration, faculty, and staff at KIPP Polaris appreciate the support from True Square. Our presence at their many functions sometimes provides a positive male role-model for these young men to look up to because they may not have one present in their lives. I would like to personally thank PM Val Jackson, Chaplain William Wright, and Brother O’Dell Smith for coming out that night to support the lock-in.
